Our Mission
The Office of Latino Student Affairs strives to improve and enhance the educational experience of Latino students at Northern Kentucky University by implementing academic, cultural and social programs designed to address their needs and further their success.
Our office offers programs that are designed to:

Lead NKU's efforts to serve an expanding Latino community in-state and out-of-state

Develop a rich Latino community environment in which students feel accepted and able to succeed

Implement the LSA/Kroger Mentor Program to better assist new and transferred students

Develop new partnerships with Latino organizations in Kentucky and Ohio

Serve as a consultant to businesses, K-12 educators and public service agencies

Provide scholarship, internship and employment opportunities for students

Serve as bi-lingual resource for NKU faculty, staff, students and alumni

Expose students to the Learning Resource Center, Math Lab, Student Achievement Center, CINSAM and other departments as appropriate

Coordinate academic, cultural and social activities with the Honors Program, World Languages and Literatures Department, African-American Student Affairs and other organizations within NKU
